Lent Day 33: Committed to whom?
"Here is what people who suffer because of God’s plan should do. They should commit themselves to their faithful Creator. And they should continue to do good." 1 Peter 4:19
When bad stuff happens to you, it's might be your fault. But sometimes you may suffer because of someone else's bad decisions or their bad character.
What's inside will come out, no matter what happens around you. If you are trusting God, he expects you to be who he's made you. He wants you to do what he's designed you to do.
When I take the front off a piano, it will still make amazing music. It's not complete. It doesn't look as nice. It won't be protected for the longterm until I cover it up again. But it keeps being a piano, regardless. It still makes beautiful sounds.
Who are you, when God looks at you? Are you like the piano, always a piano no matter what?
When you suffer, do you commit yourself to God? Do you keep doing good?
That's what Jesus did. He's your role mode.
