Lent Day 40: The trial, death, and resurrection of Jesus

The death and resurrection of Jesus tells the story of redemption. God himself comes to pay for our sins - for all the wrongs done and the good left undone. It is not a story we could have made up - it is too awful, too unjust, and too powerful.

Yet God sent Jesus to bring us close to himself. As you read (or watch below) the final scriptures for this Lenten season, ask yourself:
Am I willing to accept the gift God offers me? Why or why not?
What must I do to become a believer in God's solution - and how can I draw close to him today?
How were the disciples convinced that Jesus had risen from the dead? How does he settle their hearts personally?
What else is important to you as you read/hear these last chapters?
