Lent 11. Jesus: God's wisdom
This year's Lenten theme is qualities of Jesus that make him our model, as well as our Savior and Redeemer.
Jesus says: “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.” Matthew 7:24
No one wants to be an idiot. But sometimes our pride, our ego, or our circumstances deafen us. We forget that God is speaking, and that paying attention to his voice brings balance and harmony to our lives. So, resisting instruction, we get ourselves into all kinds of trouble.
The words of Jesus are captured in the four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). These 4 vantage points give us insights into God's expectations and provisions. Today, let me suggest that we begin to read what Jesus said and obey his instructions. Let's see what a difference that makes!
