Lent Day 32: Offering our cries

I waited patiently for the Lord;
he inclined to me and heard my cry.
Psalm 40:1 ESV

About to cross the mountain pass in Washington state
There are times when all we can do is cry. Sometimes we wail aloud. At other times our hearts are so heavy that we cry internally, sighing deeply as our only release.
People in the Bible admitted when they weren't feeling strong. They let God have the full brunt of their emotions. God does not refuse to listen or turn away. If you're struggling, turn toward him and let him hear your heart's cry. He is the God of hope as well as the God of power and ability.
On God we have set our hope
that he will rescue us again.
2 Corinthians 1:10 ESV
